The Sanders Store, formerly known to Bloomington natives as Hays Groceryis a well known landmark on the well traveled Fairfax Road.  The store sits 6 miles South of the Monroe County courthouse and opposite side of Fairfax Road from the famous Empire Quarry.  Originally erected in 1913, the Sanders Store operated as a grocery store and the heart of the Sanders community until 1967. 

The space was vacant and largely used for storage until 2019 when it was obtained, historically designated, and lovingly and meticulously fortified and reimagined into a high demand luxe vacation rental by Rudy and Kay Fields. 

The property connects to Whippoorwill Hill event venue, very near Lake Monroe, and a favorite for discerning families affiliated with Indiana University.
